On sat 21st of November, the show “In Tune for Life” for the Donal Walsh Live life Foundation was held in the INEC Killarney. ! The show demonstrated the high standard achieved by our young musicians and dancers whilst performing alongside more experienced musicians from the four corners of Ireland. The shoe featured the ninety piece "In Tune for Life" orchestra directed by Ned Kelly.  Numerous all-Ireland champion set dancers danced also world champion step dancers including the great David Geaney, Club Rice NicCraith, thirty five renowned traditional musicians from all over Ireland, the Munster choir, Nora Butler, Tadhg Maher, Maria Bevans and numerous other singers including the 2015 Rose Of Tralee, thirty of Kerry's finest young musicians and over two hundred of our primary school children who joined the orchestra on stage for two musical numbers. . Over four hundred and fifty performers entertained the large audience in aid of that fantastic organisation "the Donal Walsh live life Foundation”. The show was a sell out success.

The 5th Annual Torc Set Dancing festival was also a huge success. The hotel ballroom was packed to capacity on Friday night for the first ceili of the weekend. Johnny Reidy played his usual exuberant music to the delight of dancers. Saturday Timmy Woulfe directed our set dancing workshops Saturday night The Abbey Ceil Band kept our feet tapping with their fantastic tunes. Sunday morning saw Timmy Woulfe back at the helm for another set dancing workshop and on Sunday afternoon we danced to the magical music of Striolan Ceili Band. The weekend was a great success and this festival is going from strength to strength. Please note no branch meeting for December as officers are away.Next meeting 14th January 2016.
