There will be no Music, singing and step dancing classes next Friday night in Lisselton school because of midterm break. Set dancing classes in the clubroom will continue Saturday morning as normal at 10am.
Our annual celebration night was held last Friday in Brosnans Bar Listowel. Its was a special occasion in that it acknowledged the achievements of the members who excelled during the year. A huge crowd of musicians turned out on the night and the music session went on till the early hours. A presentation was made to the Community Games group who represented Ballydonoghue in Athlone last August. They were Roisin Kissane, Patrick Kissane, Shane and Lousie Madden, Caoimh Barry, Ryan O Neill. The Second presentation was to an Under 12 trio who got 3rd in the Munster unfortunately didn't get recommended to represent Kerry in the All Ireland. They were Shane Madden, Ruby Falvey and Dylan Quinn. Dylan also got 3rd in the Mandolin.
The third presentation was to Neilus MacKessy who competed in the under 18 Button Accordion at the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Sligo but mist out in the medal placing's. Neilus  is no stranger success at this level previously winning the All Ireland Under 15 . The final presentation was made to Kieran MacKessy who came 3rd in the under 12 All Ireland Button Accordion. This was a fantastic achievement for the 11 year old and he is under 12 again next year. A special thanks to the parents and teachers who worked hard during the year and give great commitment to making Ballydonoghue/Lisseton CCE a very successful branch in Kerry.
