Congratulations to Aoife O'Sullivan, Amy Kelly, Sara Leslie, Laura Leslie, Niamh Dinham, Orla O'Brien, Eoghan Hassett and Gearóid Hassett who were all successful in their SCT exams this year. This was the first group to be entered by the Branch for these exams which test aural skills, literacy skills and general knowledge of Irish Music as well as performance skills and we are very proud of their achievement.

Our Grúpa Cheoil finished out their year by playing a few tunes in Library Place during Puck. Thanks to everyone who listened and supported them. Getting a spot on the UTV Ireland News:Ireland Live clip about Puck was an exciting bonus and in fairness to them they sounded pretty good !!With Puck over its time to start thinking about the new year and music classes in September. We will be organising set dancing classes again this year with Adrian Moriarty who was very busy over the weekend at the All Ireland Fleadh ! We will again be running a Grúpa Cheoil which is an ensemble performance class for those interested in playing in a group for competitions and shows. In addition we are hoping to add a Session Group which would be a less formal class for those who have been playing their instrument for at least two years and would like to increase their repertoire and play with others.Details of venues, times and teachers will be published as they are confirmed.
