A huge crowd attended what can only be described as a magnificent display by the young branch members at the annual concert held at Tomaisín's hall last Friday night. The crowd were entertained for over two and half hours by the youngest beginners on tin whistles right up through the age groups in all instruments, step dancing, set dancing, story telling and singing. Well done to all involved!
Sunday 22nd will be an early start for most in the parish as buses will take the plearacha competitors to Dublin for the all Ireland final. Well done to Katie McNamara Purcell who has spent many hours with the group fine tuning a wonderful show. Thanks also to John Stack, Karen Trench Miriam Costello and all the parents who helped out to co-ordinate and assist Katie. The very best of luck to all involved!
