The AGM of Causeway Comhaltas was held on Wednesday the 15th October 2014, in the Causeway Inn, An Tochar, and the following were elected:

Chairman: Johnny O’Carroll,
Vice Chairman: Nicholas O’Mahony,
Secretary: Norma O’Donoghue,
Treasurer: John Canty,
P.R.O: Doreen Egan,
Youth Officer: Triona Casey,
Irish Officer: Jackie O’Carroll,
Auditor: Richard Casey,
Youth Protection Officer : Roisin O’Hanlon,
Delegates: Mary Casey, Mary Yallop, Mary Regan, Christina Neilan, Geraldine Quilter.

 Our membership for last year was in the region of 168 members, this includes Seniors, Juniors and Families.
We hope to increase our membership numbers this year by hosting an Open Day on Sunday the 9th November 2014, in the Adult Education Centre Causeway from 2 till 5pm.
The day is aimed to make the officers and teachers available to the public for an questions or interests they may have but did not know who to approach in the past.
A Big Thank you is due to Ballyroe Heights Hotel for the door prize : One Nights Bed and Full Irish Breakfast with an Evening Meal for Two People.
Membership is being collected at the moment by the Secretary Norma O’Donoghue, Treasurer John Canty, Music Teacher Richard Casey and Dance Teacher John Stack.
Membership is €20 for a Family, €12 for Seniors and €6 for Juniors.

Achievements through the year:
Congratulations to the U12 Ladies Set Dancers, their parents and Teacher John Stack on go through to the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Sligo.
Congratulations to Bob Scott and Denis Lucid on representing the branch with music and making it to the Munster Fleadh Cheoil in Killarney.
Congratulations to our Buskers who won the busking competitions in Cahersiveen.
These were amazing achievements for the branch, we are very proud of all our members.

Sunday the 9th November 2014 Open Day in the Adult Education Centre Causeway.
Saturday the 15th November 2014 Irish Night Harty’s Bar Causeway.
Saturday the 20th December 2014 Irish Night Causeway Inn (Yallop’s Bar) Causeway.
Sunday the 22nd February 2015 Feis in the hall of Causeway Comprehensive School.
Adult Set dance classes every Monday night from 8pm in the Adult Education Centre Causeway.
Music Classes every Friday night in Causeway Inn (Yallop’s Bar) Causeway.
Children set dance classes every Saturday from 1.30 in the hall of Causeway Comprehensive School.
