Congratulations to the dance groups who represented the branch at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Sligo last week. Well done to the eight branch members who gave a wonderful performance in both the mixed set dancing competition age 12 to 15 and in the half set competition Under 18 and their teacher Mary Philpott.

Comhghairdeas also to the Senior four-hand team and their teacher Norrie Sheehan who came home with silver medals this year. (photos attached)

The first in a series of Handed Down! Traditional Concerts commences on Saturday September 13th 2014 at Scartaglen Cultural & Heritage Centre at 8.00pm.
This is a series of Talks, Music and Songs, which will be presented by box player Paudie O’ Connor. He will feature rare recordings made in the locality, he will be joined by his wife Aoife, sister Noeleen and guitarist Paul De Grae.
Admission €6 for adults and €3 for children.
