Sliabh Luachra Comhaltas

A wonderful Fleadh Cheoil Chiarraí took place last weekend in Cahersiveen, hosted by CCE Barr na Sraide. Our branch was very well represented in Music, Song and Dancing competitions. Congratulations and well done to all taking part, we had a very successful Fleadh with many progressing to the Munster Fleadh in Killarney from 15 the 20^th of July 2014.  Our results over the weekend: Michael Dillane–1^st Button Accordion (15-18). Conor Crowley–1^st Melodeon (O18). Michelle O’Sullivan-1^st English Singing Ladies (12-15). Sean O’Keeffe –1^st Sean Nós dancing.  1^st-4 hand Ceilí (O18) –Margaret Browne, Mary Monica Sheehan, Rachel Murphy, and Cliona Daly. Niamh Dalton–2^nd Concertina (15-18). Aoife O’Sullivan– 2^nd English Singing Ladies (U12). Mark O’Leary-2^nd English Singing Men (U12). Mixed Full Set U18 – 2^nd Niamh Dalton, Joan Brosnan, Aisling McGillicuddy, Danielle Vaughan, Ciaran O’Sullivan, Dean Crowley, Conor Twomey, JJ Herlihy. Megan O’Keeffe-3^rd Rec. Sean Nós dancing (12-15). 3^rd Rec 4 hand Ceilí Ladies(15-18)-Danielle Vaughan, Shona Gleeson, Louise Lynch and Mary Lynch.
