CCÉ Kerry County Board continue with our series of workshops on Zoom on Saturday 6th March, confined to members of Kerry CCÉ branches. This date coincides with what would be our annual Sult na nÓg weekend. We are delighted to introduce new guest tutors again for our third round of workshops. Please note the inclusion of the slide and polka workshop too on this occasion.
There is no fee to do the workshops, but all participants must be registered members of a Kerry CCÉ branch. Workshops such as these are not suitable for beginners. The following criteria are a guideline to the categories being catered for.  

Improvers: ~ 2 years experience on their instrument, able to play 3-4 tunesIntermediate level: ~ 3 + years experience on their instrument who are able to comfortably play a jig and a reel. 
Advanced level: ~ 4 + years playing their instrument, a wide repertoire of tunes, experience of competing in competitions & playing in sessions 


Morning classes: 10.30 am - 12.30 pm

Improvers Tin Whistle Class: James McCaffrey, Co Tyrone  

Concertina - Intermediate: Jack Talty, Co Clare  



 Concertina - Advanced:  Clara Mannion, Co Waterford


 Accordion - Advanced : Daithí Gormley, Co Sligo

 Banjo - Advanced : Teresa O'Grady, Co Sligo 


 Slide and Polka: Open to all:  Bryan O'Leary, Co Kerry ( not suitable for beginners) 

 Traditional singing: Open to all : Edel Vaughan, Co Clare ( not suitable for beginners)



Afternoon Classes: 3.00 - 5.00pm

Fiddle: Advanced- Oisín Mac Diarmada, Co Sligo 

Flute / Whistle - Advanced: James McCaffrey, Co Tyrone 

Ciorcal Comhrá do Dhaoine Fásta: Alannah Ní Chíosáin, Treoraí na Gaeilge ( Spoken Irish language class for adults only) 


Please circulate this notice to branch members. We expect places to fill up quickly as there is a limit of 10 places in each class. It is first come, first served, so places must be booked straight away. 

Final closing date is Wednesday 17th February but once a class is full, then it is closed. 



To comply with Child Safeguarding guidelines,  only parent or guardian email address is to be supplied for the Zoom link. 

We also request a parent or guardian mobile phone number, when booking.
