CCÉ LEAC SNÁMHA Well our branch can be very proud of our successes at fleadh na hÉireann in Drogheda. To get to this level is a massive achievement in itself and to go on and be placed or win is such an honour. The work, commitment and time put in by the participants and teachers cannot be praised enough, they have done their branch and families proud The Lixnaw results are: Sarah Murphy 1st flute U12, Padrqig Mac Ionnrathaigh, 1st senior whistle S/A, 2nd senior whistle, 2nd flute S/A. Donagh McElligott 1st senior lilting. Sonny Egan 1st senior storytelling. Aideen Quinlan 2nd flute S/A 15-18, 3rd flute 15-18. Alannah Kissane 3rd senior scéalaíocht, Also  Sarah Murphy and Shauna Carey were part of the winning Ballydonoghue U12 set dancers so no less than a mighty fleadh for our branch. This is a great finish to the year and it is fantastic to see young talent coming through the whole time. Our focus in the branch and all comhaltas branches is to facilitate the passing on of our traditions of music, song and dance and it is evident year after year that all these traditions are in very safe hands. Let us enjoy it all and look forward to a new year in the life of Lixnaw comhaltas from September. Slán tamall.
