Singing Seminar

Please find attached a letter explaining more about a planned seminar on the teaching of Traditional Singing in Ennis on Sunday 23rd of September 2018.

The aim of the singing  seminar is to promote the teaching of traditional singing/amhránaíocht ar an sean nós. While the seminar is being run and funded by CCÉ, it is not just for CCÉ members. Perhaps you have a singer in your area who is not a member of your branch but may be of great assistance to your branch in the setting up of classes, or encouraging others to sing/teach.

 I would be very grateful if you could pass word of this seminar along to people you think might be interested in attending on the day. Keep in mind singers, maybe older people, in your branch or locality  who don't teach but may be interested in teaching if they had a bit of support and guidance. The seminar will not touch on adjudication or the adjudication process.

Closer to the time Cois na hAbhna in Ennis will need an idea of numbers to ensure adequate space, seating etc. They will also need to know if any of the participants have any special dietary requirements.

Please let me know if any branch is interested in sending people to this singing seminar.
