Brosna Comhaltas CCÉ
Brosna Comhaltas music classes continue every Thursday night. The classes usually take place in Brosna Parish Hall but the venue has moved to The Three Counties Bar in The Square, Brosna for the next few weeks. Thanks to Joe Browne for the use of his premises. We run beginner, intermediate and advanced classes in accordion. The accordion teacher is Bryan O Leary with David Healy filling in when Bryan is not available. Gretta Curtin teaches our beginner, intermediate and advanced fiddle and concertina classes as well as the intermediate tin-whistle class. Ciarán O Sullivan teaches beginner tin-whistle as well as beginner and advanced banjo. Ciarán is away for the next few weeks and his classes will be looked after by Gearóid Curtin. We are delighted to have such high quality teachers and we aim to keep the numbers small in each class so that every child can make good progress. The classes run from 6.30 to 8pm every Thursday night in 10 week terms but new students are welcome to join at any stage of the term. The cost of classes is €60 for 10 weeks, €110 for 2 classes for 10 weeks, €140 for 3 classes and €180 for 4 classes. We also have some instruments for rent if students want to try them out before purchasing a new instrument. The cost is €20 for three months. Everyone attending classes must be a member of a Comhaltas branch. The cost of that for child is €6 a year and a family membership is €20. For further information contact Joanne, the branch secretary, at 0874588368
