CCÉ LEAC SNÁMHA Kerry Co comhaltas AGM will take place this Monday 6th November in the Rose Hotel Tralee at 8pm. The main aim in our comhaltas branch in Lixnaw, like all comhaltas branches in Kerry and nationwide, is to facilitate the passing on of our traditions of music, song, dance and the Irish language and if you require any details please contact our chairperson Mike Kissane on 087 7576402. Classes are as follows: Comhrá gaeilge Mondays 7.30-8.30, sean nós dancing Tuesdays 6.30-7.30, step dancing Wednesdays 7.30-9.30 and Saturdays 11.30-3pm,english singing Wednesdays 7.30-9pm, traditional music on Thursdays from 6pm for Banjo, button accordion and tin whistle and on Saturdays for all instruments, various times according to ages and instruments. The future of all these skills is in the hands of our youth and our teachers who are passing on the knowledge.
