CRAOBH THRÁ LÍ:
Our weekly classes have begun in Galecholáiste Chiarraí....ag 6.30pm (beginners) every Tuesday. Nice to see all the familiar faces in action again agus beidh fáilte mhór roimh cheoltóirí nua ar an Máirt seo chugainn...we’d love to see more new faces.
Our cruinniú cinn bhliana (AGM) was held sa Ghaelcholáiste and the following were elected to represent our branch this year: Cathaoirleach: Seán Seosamh Ó Conchubhair; Leaschathaoirleach: Máire Uí Ghríofa; Rúnaí: Dawn Uí Chonchubhair; cisteoir: Caitlín Uí Aodha; toscairí chuig an mBord Contae: Seán Masún, S.S.Ó Conchubhair; teoraí na Gaeilge: Pádraig Mac Fhearghusa; oifigeach na n-óg: Sadhbh Sionóid; oifigeach cúram leanaí: An tSiúr Máirín; oifigeach caidrimh phoiblí: Brian Caball.
If you’d like to improve your spoken Irish, feel free to go along to the weekly Ciorcal Comhrá sessions in Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee, on Wednesdays ó 8.30pm go 9.30pm. Fáilte roimh chách.
Young people who are under the age of 17 years (on January 1st 2018) and who are interested in participating in the Tralee Area Scór na nÓg competitions should get working on same! Competitions: figure dancing, solo singing, recitation/story, instrumental music group of 5, ballad group of 5 singers, set dancing, sketch and table quiz. Please make contact with your GAA club.
Ceol an Gheimhridh: (a) November 4th - closing date for entries. (b) November 18th – competitions: music, singing, scéalaíocht, storytelling at IT Tralee, North Campus, ag 10.30am. (c) November 19th – competitions: set dancing, céilí dancing at Fossa Community Centre, ag 10.30am.
Sult na nÓg: 15th February - closing date for entries for Sult na nÓg.
