Urgent attention all musicians who attend or are planning to attend our music sessions in the Parish Hall, the date has been changed and our next session will now be held on Saturday 7th October 6pm to 8pm. The guest musician will be Michael Brosnan (John Brosnan’s son). All future sessions will now be on the first Saturday of the month.
Social dancing classes starting in Killarney School of Music Wednesday 4th October 8pm to 9pm. Come along and learn waltz, quickstep, jive etc.
Set dancing classes resume in Torc Hotel Monday 2nd October, beginners 7.30pm to 8.30pm, improvers 8.30pm to 10pm. Contact Ann for both classes 0879403508
Music classes resume in Saint Brendan’s Collage on Saturday 14th October at 5.30pm. We are honoured and privileged to have teachers Nickie and Anne McAuliffe back again.
Congratulations to the Milltown-Listry Branch of Comhaltas who hav been selected to host Fleadh Cheoil Chiarrai 2018. This branch has a long history of hosting successful Fleadh Cheoils and in the ten years between 1998 and 2007 ran the festival on seven occasions. The branch also hosted the provincial Munster Fleadh Cheoil in 2002. The 2018 Fleadh will take place from 20th to 24th June next.
Our next meeting will be our AGM and will take place on Tuesday 10th October at 9pm in the meeting rooms beside The Church of The Resurrection Park Road. It is imperative that all members attend.
