Well, a new year in the life of the Lixnaw Comhaltas will begin with our registration and information evening on Friday next September 8th 7.30 in the Ceolann. Our role in Lixnaw comhaltas is to provide a service where possible of teaching the traditions of traditional music, song, dance and our native language to our youth as these are such a huge part of our culture. We will be providing classes for the coming year as follows: Comhrá gaeilge with tutor Emma Grimes Mondays 7.30-8.30, Sean nós dancing with Katie Griffin Tuesdays 6.30-7.30, English singing with Dónal Tydings Wednesdays 7.30-9pm, Step dancing with Bridget Walsh Wednesdays 7.30-9.30 and Saturdays 11.30-3pm, traditional music with TP McNamara on Thursdays from 6pm and on Saturdays with various Ceolann teachers, times to be allocated following enrolment.
