Sult na nOg 2017 is just about here – this coming weekend, March 4 and 5. We can’t say it too often: the very best of luck to all our Listowel members who will be competing this year!

And a reminder that Kerry Comhaltas is looking for volunteer clerks and door stewards to help out on both days, but especially Saturday as there is a big entry for that day. And now for something slightly different …

March 11 is the last day for current term Saturday classes at the Seanchai Centre.

The new term starts SATURDAY, MARCH 25 and you can register in person at the Seanchai that day. New students are especially welcome J There will be classes in tin whistle, flute, fiddle, concertina, banjo, accordion, guitar, bodhran, and instrumental group; there are also classes in singing, dancing, and Irish language. Cost for the 10-week term is €60 for children and €100 for adults. Class meeting dates are:

March 25

April 1, 8, 22

May 6, 13, 20, 27

June 3, 10

• Saturday, March 4 – Sult na nOg 2017
• Saturday, March 11 – last day of currently running Saturday classes at Seanchai Centre
• Friday, March 17 – Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
• Saturday, March 25 – next term of Saturday classes begins at Seanchai. In-person registration (see above for more info)
