Well our 27th annual Féile Feabhra is happening over next weekend 11th/12th Feb and we invite you all to join us in support and celebration. On Saturday morning 11th a mixed music instrument workshop with tutor Katie McNamara will take place from 11am-1pm, reg at 10.30, lunch provided 1.00-1.30pm and from 1.30-3pm All Ireland Champion Ranóg Ní Ghríofa Townsend will run a sean-nós dancing workshop for all ages. Fee for each is €10 or €15 for both. A concert featuring all children and teachers will begin at 8pm sharp on the Sat night, this is always a lovely night for parents and familes to witness and enjoy the results of all the work put in by all since September. Then on Sunday 12th competitions in trad music, trad singing and comhrá gaeilge will begin from 2pm, open to all previous non-prize winners at any Fleadhanna Cheoil. This weekend is really about all our young members, showing how the talents of our music, song and dance are being passed on and this is what comhaltas is about. Our teenagers in conjunction with our experienced teachers have had a big input this year and this is all part of our comhaltas method of passing on and continuing the traditions of our culture.
