CCE NOTES.

The  All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil was held in Ennis Co.Clare last week.Huge numbers from North Kerry crossed over the Shannon  for a week long festival and celebration of Irish music , song and dance. Ballydonoghue /Lisselton  CCE branch were well represented in competition over the Weekend  where the best from all around the world comped for All Ireland titles in various age categories.Saturday afternoon there was great celebrations in the Auburn lodge Hotel when Kieran Mackessy was crown All Ireland under 12 Melodian Champion. What a fantastic  achievement  for this talented young musician.Sunday afternoon the roof was lifted once again in Scoil Mhuire when Conor Heaphy,Ali and Saoirse Cahill  were runners up in 3rd place in 12 -15 Trio competition. Also well done to Neilus and Darragh Mackessy, Fionnuala Trench and Dylan Quinn who play very well in their respective competition but were note place. 

MUSIC CLASSES FOR SEPTEMBER.

Enrollment for Music and Sean nos Singing classes will take place Friday 3rd September in Lisselton National School at 6pm.instruments being catered for are Tin whistel,Button Accordian, Fiddle concertina,banjo and Flute. Classes will commence on Friday  10th September.Enrollment for Step dancing classes will be after the Listowel Races. Friday 24th September.
