Kerry Music and it’s Musicians- A Source of Influence on my personal Style presented by Charlie Piggott. Founder member of De Dannan Charlie Piggott hails from Cobh Co Cork . His father was from Glenbeigh and his mother from Dingle . As a child visiting Dingle with his mother they ventured into Caballs in Tralee where Charlie spotted a melodeon in a box on the top shelf . A deal was struck for 6 old pounds and years after this same instrument featured on the first 2 De Danann LPs.
