CCÉ LIXNAW Well it was certainly a féile like no other due to all the covid restrictions but we can rest assured that the talent and enthusiasm among our young members has remained strong and healthy. Our ‘féile ar líne’ went beyond all our expectations as we received over 130 entries for the on-line music competitions. Thanks to all the entrants for the brilliant entertainment and effort and a special thanks to our guest adjudicator, multi instrumentalist, Hannah Collins from Cork who carefully choose the winners. The performances of the successful musicians were then available to view on our facebook page. Thanks to teacher Donagh Mcelligott for his work in digging into the archives for past féile photos and videos. Our ceolann committee must be also thanked for their tireless work to  ensure the show goes on, even against the odds. As a comhaltas branch, like all other branches,we will do our utmost to keep the traditions of music, song and dance alive and strong and to ensure their teaching and passing on is maintained for future generations. Our zoom music classes in all instruments and ages ongoing and for any information please phone our secretary Anne on 087 6979334, and for all your comhaltas up to date news its www.kerrycomhaltas.ie, kerryccé and Lixnaw comhaltas facebook pages and tweet@kerrycomhaltas.
