The proud Killarney parish of Spa made History in the City West Hotel on Valentine's day for The All Ireland Scor na nOg  competitions the club’s representatives were triumphant in both the quiz and  figure dancing competitions to bring home the silverware to a delighted and excited parish The winning quiz team members were Thomas Fleming  James Lynch Michael Aherne and Niamh Clifford Coaches Seamus Clifford and Eileen Aherne Spa figure dancers performed brilliantly and were clear winners in their competition The all-conquering team consisted of Áine Brosnan Katie Cronin Megan Cronin  Ava O’Sullivan Leah Moynihan Rachel Moynihan Sarah Randles and Lamia Switzer Their coaches were Mairead Mangan and Maureen Hegarty Vogels who are no strangers to All-Ireland glory between them they hold no less than 17 Scór Sinear medals in both set and figure dancing The driving force in  the club has been the remarkably dedicated Scór Officer Sheila McCarthy who is now in her 12th year in this position and her great commitment and dedication has not been lost on the rank and file club members and the officers Mark your diaries for a  delightful concert with Niamh Ni Charra Friday 27th February 8.30pm Ionaid Culturtha An Dochtuir O'Loisng Baiele Mhuirne Niamh was awarded  female  musician of the year at The Live Ireland Music Awards 2012. Cois na Gaelige meeting Meadowlands Hotel Tralee Monday 2nd March at 8pm. The very popular Celtic Steps Show begins in April at the INEC, dates to be confirmed.
