In conjunction with Comhairle na Mumhan, Kerry County Board are organising an intensive workshop on Irish \ English singing and slow air playing.  There is now a greater awareness of the importance of slow airs because of the increased popularity of the S.C.T. traditional music exams.                           

The aims of Scoil Fonn are:

1.    To illustrate the connection between airs and songs
2.    To improve playing techniques
3.    Stair na nAmhrán a leiriú, bunús staire, aisling, grá tíre,
4.    Dlúth bhaint idir an teanga, na hamhráin agus na foinn mhalla a fhorbhairt
5.    To re-awaken an awareness of our vast repertoire of songs and airs.

The above workshop is to be held on Saturday 11th April 2015 in the IT Tralee, North Campus, Tralee, Co.Kerry .

Registration at 11am.  Workshop 11.30am – 1pm.  Lunch 1pm – 2pm. Workshop 2pm – 3.30pm.

Anne McAuliffe:-  Flute Tin whistle ,

Karen Trench :- Singing.  

Participants may take part in slow air playing on Fiddle, Flute, Whistle or Amhranaiocht and English Singing, boys and girls.
All age groups welcome.

COST:    â‚¬10.00 to include one day tuition and lunch.

All entries to me, including €10 fee, by Thursday  3rd April,2014.
