Lixnaw CCÉ: Well, the branch are extremely proud of our members who performed so well at  Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann which was held in Sligo and a huge comhghairdeas  to our medal winners. Aoife Enright was first home with a gold medal when she won the Mouth Organ U18 and soon followed with a silver medal with her newly composed Irish Song which was so well sung by our own Gearóid Galvin. Then Donagh Mc Elligott came out tops of a field of 22 to win the Newly Composed Tune, any age, which he also played himself on concertina. Aoife's Mom, Bríd Enright(Leonard) then came in 2nd with her Newly composed English Song. To add to all that our own Louise Bunyan was one of the Listowel Grúpa Ceoil , 'Ceoltóirí Cois Féile'  who won in the O18's. We must compliment Pól de Staic for his comhrá performance,Edaein O' Connell in singing, Seán Galvin in Mandolin,  Alannah and Ranóg in Sean-nós dancing, Pádraig Enright in Tin whistle slow airs, mouth organ and lilting and our U18's who were joined with Ballydonoghue for the Banna Ceoil and Grúpa Ceoil, all performances were so good. It has been a long year for the branch, a very successful one and we must thank everyone across the board for the teaching, helping, encouraging, commitment and we look forward to starting it all again at the end of September for yet another year in the life of Lixnaw CCÉ.
