Lixnaw CCE Notes
Lixnaw CCÉ Well, Fleadh Cheoil Chiarraà 2014 will again appear in the
branch history books as our members did so well at all age levels. Our
U12 and U15 Grúpa Cheoil, U18 Lixnaw/Ballydonoghue Grúpa Cheoil, U15
Banna Cheoil and U18 Lixnaw/Ballydonoghue Banna Cheoil all progress to
Munster stage. Also, from U12 upwards, solos, duets, trios, comhrá,
singing, whistling, lilting, composition and sean-nós dancing all did
very well with a lot advancing to Munster. Full results can be seen on

every member who participated and for all your work and dedication.
Maura Walsh must be highly praised for her ability, commitment and time
put into all the various music, also Louise for assisting Maura and
Katie for working with Maura on the U18 Group and Band. Thanks to all
the parents for your continued support and commitment…we are on the road
again, to Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan in Killarney on 19th/20th July.
Finally huge praise must be given to Kerry CCÉ, Co PRO, John Stack, for
the enormous work he has done in his short time on the job and for his
willingness to help all branches at all times.
