Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann in Kerry is celebrating its 60th Anniversary on the weekend of the 9/10th November 2019.
On Saturday the 9th of November, RTE will record two programmes for Céilí House radio these will be recorded in the Dúchas Comhaltas Centre featuring Kerry artistes spanning various decades since 1959.
The County Board is extending an open invitation to all branch members & friends to be in the audience that evening as we would like a full house at both recordings. The audience may be present for either recording or can remain for both recordings.
Programme 1: Soundcheck @ 4. 00 pm. Recording 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm approx
Programme 2: Soundcheck @ 7. 00 pm Recording 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm approx
On Sunday the 10th November from 3 pm to 6 pm a celebration Céilí will be held at Duchas Comhaltas Centre, North Campus, IT Tralee Eircode: V92 HD4V. Music by Uí Bhriain
On Monday the 11th of November our AGM will be held at the Duchas Comhaltas Centre at 8 pm.
Torc Set Dancing Festival is celebrating their eight-year this November, with three Ceili and Three set dancing workshops. The festival runs from 15th to 17th November hosting Johnny Reidy Ceili Band on Friday night The Abbey on Saturday night and the finale ceili sees The Kingdom Ceili band on stage. The festival also boasts three-set dancing workshops with Timmy Woulfe. Please contact Joan at 086 8718819 for all festival inquiries.
