CCE Notes. Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 took place in Drogheda the weekend of 16th - 18th August. Ballydonoghue/ Lisselton was victorious with their U12 Ladies Set dancers. The members of the set were Aibhin Lyons, Grace Heffernan, Edel Delane, Orla O Mahoney,Audrey Ryan, Shauna Carey, Sarah Murphy, Molly Linnane. It has been 14 years sense the last Gold All Ireland medal in set dancing came to Ballydonoghue/Lisselton. Congratulation to their dancing teacher John Stack for bringing out the girls to such a high standard. Also bring home silver was Kieran MacKessy in the U12-15 Bodhrán and bronze medal going to Hamish O Carroll in the U15- 18 Harp Slow Airs .Others that competed in the All Ireland were Áibhin O Neill on Flute S/A U12-15, Dylan Quinn on Mandolin U15-18,Grace Heffernan Irish sean nós singing  U12 and Neilus MacKessy, Grupaí Cheoi Senior. 

Congratulations to all involved and their families.A celebration will take place at a later date.

 A committee meeting will take place this Monday night 26th August in Lisselton School at 8pm.

Enrollment for music classes will take place this Friday 30th August  in Lisselton school 6-7pm. The instruments catered for are Tin whistle, Fiddle, banjo, concertina, Button Accordion, bodhrán, drums,guitar and sean nós singing. Classes will commence Friday 6th September  for beginner and last year beginner classes.Step dancing classes will commence Friday after the Listowel races with Mary O Connell.
