Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann took place in Drogheda Co.Louth over the weekend. A huge numbers from Ballydonoghue Lisselton CCE travelled to the Fleadh to compete and celebrate all what is great about Irish Music, song and dance. On Saturday afternoon  Ballydonoghue Lisselton u12-15 Grúpaí Cheoil took to the stage and competed in the Fleadh Dome .They played exceptional well but unfortunately didn't make it into the placings. Honours on the day going to a Limerick group. Also in competition at 5pm Saturday evening was Deirbhle O Carroll on the Harp slow Airs u12 and Grace hIfearnáin on the Tin Whistle Slow Airs U12. Again putting on a great performance but didn't make it into the top three. However Sunday morning our luck was to change when Conor Heaphy took to the stage in the  fiddle U15-18 he played what it takes to enchant the adjudicators, winning a bronze medal. He lifted the spirits of people from North Kerry in Drogheda !A huge congratulations to Conor on his All Ireland achievement. But the Fleadh didn't stop there. The young musicians from Ballydonoghue mingled on the streets of Drogheda displaying their music and dance to all music lovers who flocked to the town. Well done to all our members who competed at the All Ireland. Its not everyone who gets the oppertunity to grace the stage at an All Ireland final. You have done yourselves proud and  your community. We hope to be back again someday soon.A celebration night for Conor will take place at a later date
