Our next meeting will be our AGM and will take place on Tuesday 17th October, please note change of date. This meeting will be held at 9pm in the meeting rooms beside The Church of The Resurrection Park Road. It is imperative that all members attend. New members very welcome. Music classes resume in Saint Brendan’s Collage on Saturday 14th October at 5.30pm. We are honoured and privileged to have teachers Nickie and Anne McAuliffe back again.
We are delighted to congratulate Ardstiúrthóir of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Labhrás Ó Murchú on been conferred with an honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy by Dublin City University. This is in recognition of his lifelong service and achievements in the promotion of Irish culture and the promotion of Ireland’s interests at home and abroad.
Previous recipients included Mary McAleese, Seamus Heaney, John Hume, Mother Teresa, Senator George J. Mitchell, Brian Cody and Fr. Peter McVerry, SJ.
