At our branch meeting  on Tuesday night last the committee congratulated all our members who competed in the Kerry, Munster and All-Ireland Fleadhanna Cheoil and expressed gratitude to their dancing teachers Tríona Mangan, Mairéad Mangan, Ann Mangan, Maureen Hegarty and Hanna Majella O'Donoghue and to their music teachers Nickie and Anne McAuliffe and the Killarney School of Music

We are delighted and proud to have dancers and musicians from our branch perform at culture night in the Culture Centre East Avenue Road on Friday 22nd September.

Our branch is holding their annual church gate collection at all three churches on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October.

Music classes resume in Saint Brendan’s Collage on Saturday 14th October at 5.30pm. We are honoured and privileged to have teachers Nickie and Anne McAuliffe back again.

The next music session in The Parish Hall, will be on Saturday 14th October from 6pm to 8pm.  This venture has proven to be a huge success, with different musicians leading the group each month. All musicians   welcome (although not suitable for beginners). Come along and join this fantastic evening celebrating our traditional music where all ages share their tunes and learn from each other.  Our branch is indebted to Grainne Evens for her imitative and sterling work with this venture.

Our next meeting on Tuesday 10th October is our AGM. It is imperative that all members attend. New members very welcome, come along and be part of a team that works to promote and foster all our traditions.  Contact us killarneycomhaltas@gmail.com
