SULT NA nÓG COUNTY FINAL

FLAG DAY

Our Annual Flag Day will take place on Saturday 8th April.  The Branch would appreciate if you could contribute an hour and a half to help in our fundraising efforts.  Please contact Irene on 087-6950672.  Your help would be much appreciated. 

SCOIL FONN AND AMHRÁN 2017

In conjunction with Comhairle na Mumhan, Kerry County Board of Comhaltas are organising workshops on Traditional singing in English and Irish, and slow air playing.  There is now a greater awareness of the importance of slow airs and the link between airs and songs.  This year, we are also running a workshop on the Sliabh Luachra music style.  These workshops will be held on Saturday 1st April 2017 in the IT Tralee, North Campus.  Registration from 10.30am.  Class: 11am – 12.30pm.  Lunch 12.30pm - 1.30pm.  Class: 1.30pm – 3.00pm. The Tutors are: Slow airs on flute/whistle and fiddle – Anne and Nickey McAuliffe.  Singing – Ella Marie O’Dwyer, Sliabh Luachra Music – Joe O’Sullivan.  Participants may take part in either Slow air playing on Fiddle, Flute, Whistle or Amhránaíocht and English Singing or Sliabh Luachra music workshop.  All age groups welcome.  These workshops are not suitable for beginners.  Cost: €10 to include one day tuition and lunch.  Information and Application forms available from The Rural Development Office, Kilcummin.  All entries to Karen Trench, Rúnaí CCÉ Ciarraí, Bunagara, Listowel, Co Kerry, including €10 fee, by Tuesday 28thMarch.
