Comahaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann Craobh Cill Airne held their A.G.M. on Thursday 13th October in the meeting rooms beside the Church of The Resurrection Park Road. Cathaoirleach Eoin O’Carra welcomed everyone and said that the branch had a very successful year. The minutes were read by Runai Ann Mangan and adopted. Gerard Mangan Treasurer handed out copies of the financial report and read same and these were adopted.  Eoin O’ Carra Cathaoirleach congratulated and thanked all the dancers and musicians who brought home so many accolades at the Ceol an Gheimhridh, Sult, and the County & Munster and All-Ireland Fleadhanna Cheoil He said he was proud that our branch was so well represented again this year. He said they were all a credit to their families and that their success was testament to the hard work and dedication of the dancers, musicians and their teachers Eoin paid special tribute to teachers, Triona and Mairead Mangan set dancing, Maureen Hegarty and Mairead Mangan, Ceili dancing and Eta and Anna O Connor who coached the over thirty five set dancers .He said the coaching shills of Norrie Daly King will be missed as she stepped down this year. Norrie has been very valuable and generous coaching ceili teams for many years for the branch; she was honoured at the Fleadh celebration night in September. Thanking his hard working committee Eoin said their help and support in the past year was much appreciated.  He paid special tribute to Runai Ann Mangan for her efficient work Also to Gerard Mangan Tuarascailan Chisteora and Maureen McMahon O’Leary Auditor. He thanked Joan Pollard Carew Turarascail an Oifig Caidrimh Poibli. Eoin thanked St Brendan’s College for the use of their facility for music classes. Eoin also thanked everyone who helped with the annual church gate collection especially the parents of dancers who are always willing to give a hand for any activities in the branch. Election of officers then ensued, Cathaoirleach Eoin O’ Carra, Leas Cathaoirleach Noel Grimes, Runai Ann Mangan, Cisteoir Gerard Mangan P.R. O. Joan Pollard Carew, Youth Officers Niamh Fenton, Anna O’Connor and Kianan O’Doherty, Auditor Maureen McMahon O’Leary. Delegates to County Board Geraldine Guilfoyle and Linda O’Donohue, Treoiri na Gaeilge Eoin O’ Carra. Designated Liaison Officer Eoin O’Carra.  We had lively discussion on activities for the coming year Our Trad for Trocaire this year will be on Saturday 22nd October in The Outlet Centre from 2pm to 4pm this will showcase dancers, musicians and friends from our branch. Eoin said he had plans to get a chat group of young branch members together for informal dialogue to promote our native language. Initially this group would be leaving cert students who could meet prior to their oral Irish exams. Motions for congress were discussed.  It was decided to hold our monthly meetings in the meeting rooms at the Church of The Resurrection until The Cultural Centre which is undergoing structural work was back at our disposal. A decision was made not to hold branch meetings for the months of May, June and July as most officers are very busy during these months with the various Fleadhanna. Reminder  Siamsa Tire Tralee will host Macalla na hEireann Concert Tour of Ireland on Tuesday 18th October at 8pm.  This annual concert showcases   the best of traditional Irish culture, music, dancing, singing and storytelling drawn from the four provinces of Ireland.
